IceAge 6 is officially in production at Disney

The trailer for Ice Age 6 opens with a familiar, frosty landscape, panning over icy peaks and snow-covered valleys. Our beloved mammoth Manny (voiced by Ray Romano) narrates, “We’ve seen it all… or so we thought.” Suddenly, the ground shakes, and we see cracks spider-webbing through the ice. The characters scramble as massive chunks of ice fall from above, hinting at a new and terrifying natural disaster.

Cut to Sid (voiced by John Leguizamo), who stumbles across an ancient, glowing glacier with strange markings. He eagerly calls his friends to investigate, thinking it’s the “ultimate ice discovery.” But when Manny, Diego, and Ellie arrive, they realize the glacier is holding something dangerous—trapped inside is an entire herd of prehistoric creatures, frozen for thousands of years and now beginning to thaw.

As the ice melts, these prehistoric creatures—including massive woolly rhinos, saber-toothed birds, and other fierce animals—emerge, confused and ready to claim their territory. The trailer introduces a new character, a tough, streetwise woolly rhino named Roxy, voiced by a fan-favorite actor. Roxy becomes both a rival and an ally, clashing with Manny over how to handle the challenges ahead.

The trailer quickly cuts to action-packed scenes: Manny and his herd dodging rock slides, Diego facing off with one of the saber-toothed birds, and Sid narrowly escaping as he tumbles through slippery ice tunnels. Amid the chaos, the characters realize they must team up with the newcomers to survive the “Great Thaw,” a phenomenon that could reshape their world forever.

In a comedic twist, Scrat is seen with a new acorn heist—but this time, the acorn holds a mysterious power, causing bizarre weather patterns every time he gets close to it. His antics inadvertently worsen the melting crisis, and he’s now on a mission to either save or destroy the day.

The trailer concludes with Manny saying, “Together, we survive—or together, we fall,” as the two herds prepare for a final showdown against the harsh elements.
