THE STRAIN 2- New Series | Extended TRAILER | HD

The trailer for The Strain: Resurrection opens with a chilling aerial shot of a desolate city, its streets eerily silent, broken only by the faint cries of survivors. A voiceover from Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) begins: “We thought we had won. But evil doesn’t die—it adapts.”

The camera pans to Ephraim, scarred and weary, standing over a makeshift lab in a hidden bunker. A map on the wall shows red zones spreading rapidly across the globe. “The Strigoi virus has mutated,” he explains grimly to Dutch Velders (Ruta Gedmintas) and Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand), who look equally shaken. “It’s stronger, faster, and more cunning.”

Cut to a flashback of Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones), the half-human, half-Strigoi warrior, in his final moments from the previous series. His cryptic warning echoes: “The Master’s essence cannot be destroyed, only contained.” The scene fades to black, then bursts to life with a shot of the Master’s rebirth in a horrifying new form, more monstrous and intelligent than ever before.

The trailer ramps up with glimpses of the team’s struggle to regroup as the Strigoi overrun major cities. Ephraim reunites with his estranged son, Zach, who now wields unique knowledge about the Master’s plans. Meanwhile, Dutch and Fet lead guerilla-style resistance operations, using every resource at their disposal to fight the relentless enemy.

A mysterious new ally emerges—a scientist from Eastern Europe who claims to have developed a serum that can weaken the Strigoi. However, her motives are unclear, and trust begins to fracture among the survivors.

The action escalates with scenes of blood-soaked battles, terrifying Strigoi mutations, and the discovery of an ancient weapon buried beneath the ruins of an abandoned church. The final moments show Ephraim confronting the Master, their eyes locking as he whispers, “You may have started this war, but I’ll end it.”
