HOME ALONE 3 : Kevin’s Revenge – Kevin gets adult

Here’s a spoiler-filled breakdown of the trailer for Home Alone 3:

The trailer for Home Alone 3 opens with a cozy suburban neighborhood lit up for the holidays, setting a warm and festive scene. We meet Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), now all grown up and living a quiet life. But this time, the focus shifts to his 10-year-old nephew, Charlie, a clever and tech-savvy kid who’s visiting Kevin for the holidays. The voiceover says, “It runs in the family,” as we see Charlie accidentally left home alone after a family mix-up sends everyone to a ski trip without him.

The calm doesn’t last long, though. Just after his family leaves, a group of three bumbling thieves—two familiar faces from the Wet Bandits’ extended family—catch wind of a rare collectible toy in Kevin’s house. We see them in a diner, discussing their plan, with one thief boasting, “This is a breeze. Kid won’t know what hit him.”

Charlie, however, has already sensed something suspicious and gears up for an epic defense. The trailer shifts to high-energy scenes of Charlie setting up elaborate booby traps around the house. This time, it’s a tech-savvy upgrade: drones with glitter bombs, smart locks rigged to catch the thieves’ hands, and even VR goggles that leave one of the burglars completely disoriented.

The action quickly escalates, showing the thieves slipping, sliding, and running from one trap to another, as Charlie’s traps get progressively more inventive. We catch glimpses of Kevin, who eventually learns about the break-in and races home to help his nephew. A quick scene shows him recalling his childhood “skills” and even lending a hand to finish the job.

The trailer ends with Charlie and Kevin watching the defeated burglars being arrested from the front porch. Kevin chuckles, “Like uncle, like nephew,” before the screen fades to black with the iconic Home Alone theme music playing.
